Retired Policies
Last updated May 15, 2026
Prior to the current framework, Slow's policies were structured across two consolidated documents rather than as individual, topic-specific policies:
Environmental & Social Management System (ESMS) — Version 1.1, January 2025
A comprehensive management system document structured around nine interrelated elements — from policy statement and risk identification through to stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, and monitoring and review. The ESMS was developed in alignment with the IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability and covers Slow's operations across Southeast Asia and Europe.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy — Version 1.1, May 2023
An overarching policy document consolidating 15 individual policies spanning human rights, labor and working conditions, environmental management, governance, and responsible sourcing. Originally developed in 2020, it served as the foundational policy reference for the company and as the policy basis for the ESMS.
Both documents remain available for reference and should be read in the context of the framework in place at the time of their issuance. They do not follow the structure or numbering convention of upcoming framework.
As with the current framework, these documents were supported by a set of internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and forms. These operational documents provided the detailed instructions, responsibilities, and record-keeping requirements necessary to execute each policy in practice — including the proper registration and handling of grievances, incidents, non-conformances, and other compliance-relevant events.
